windows XP search locking up

I moved some files around yesterday, and today when I perform a
search, it reaches the end and then is unresponsive. I got to give the
salute and end task.
Seems to be when i search the drive I was moving files onto which is
Drive D. Drive C isn't crashing the search.
Help!

What is Drive D?

How many computers are you in charge of that you have posted about in the

Drive D is my secondary HDD.Both C & D are WD SE16250G SATA

I have two home computers.
I'm not qualified to be in charge of computers professionally

I posted a queston about an issue at work because it involved malware
and I wanted ot protect myself.
Then a few more about my main computer which has suddenly become
problematical. But my wife is now compalining hers is not working
right. But hers is a vista64 so I'll post those questions on another
usergroup.
