Windows XP Screen Flicker

J

Jamie Thole

I have a SGI 330, its about 3 years old. I have recently upgraded to Windows
XP Pro (SP2) from Windows 2000. I have a SGI 1600sw digital flat panel
monitor with a nVIDIA Quadro 2 Pro graphics card. When I use Windows
Explorer
or the Open/Save diolog box the screen will temporaly go black. I don't
think
it is a driver error with the graphics card, I have tried many different
drivers one from Microsoft and one from nVIDIA. The screen will also go
blank
if I render complicated efects or any time the computer has to work hard.
Please Help!

I had this problem on a much newer computer and found the only way to resolve
it was to reduce the screen res to 16 bit from 32 on the moniter settings I
hope this helps my card was a nVIDIA as well..
