Windows XP repair on a SATA RAID 0 configuration

I have a client that has had some system files corrupted by a virus. I cant
access device manager, system restore or many other features (they simply
wont open). I tried to repair the Windows installation by going through
Windows setup from the CD and install Windows over the top of Windows so I
dont lose any of the programs or files. When I try to do this, the disc wont
recognize the hard drive. The system is a Gateway and has two 250GB SATA
drives and I cant seem to find any software for a RAID controller to load at
the beginning of the setup. Any suggestions? I've done this repair on systems
with single drives but never on a RAID setup. Will this repair work on this
system or am I going to create more issues?

You probably need to use the F6 option, early in the win repair process,
(install third party drivers) to install the sata/raid drivers from *floppy*
Untill the drivers are loaded the hd wont be recognised.
The drivers should be either located on the origonal set up media or
available on gateway site, they will likely be specific to the model #
