Does it do any good to periodically wipe Windows XP off
my hard drive, FDISK, format, and reinstall XP?
I seem to recall a couple of years ago reading that
Windows 98SE "worked better" by periodically performing a
comprehensive backup, then deleting it from the computer,
FDISKing, formatting and reinstalling.
I can't recall that I've seen this mentioned about XP.
Has anyone had any experience with this?
And while I'm asking...... I recently ran CHKDSK on my
computer (I'm running Windows XP Home with SP-1
installed). When CHKDSK finished, the results screen
flashed by so quickly I couldn't read it. Are the
results of CHKDSK stored anywhere on my computer where I
can read them?
Thanks!
