Windows XP Professional w/Embedded Restrictions

Hi,

I see on Microsoft's XP Embedded web site reference to a product called
Windows XP Professional w/Embedded Restrictions. Can anybody tell me more
about this. How does this compare with regular Windows XP Embedded or to
Windows XP Professional? Maybe someone from MS or a distributor could
provide more information regarding features, usage and price.

Thanks, Dan

KM,

I do have access to the site but could not find useful information. Maybe
you could provide some or at least the links where there is an explanation of
what this is and how it compares to the regular XP embedded.

Thanks, Dan

Hello Dan

XP Prof w. Embedded restriction is
the normal XP Professional as you know from
the Systembuilder Channel.

In the embedded channel, you will get an
OPK (OEM Preinstalaltion Kit) to generate
a golden master disc.

Attention: Activiation is needed!
You can get the SLP (switch off activation) if you
buy 1'000 Pcs. or more.

So XP Prof w. embedded restrictons is for those customer who
needs a absoluteley open OS.

The price is more or less the samer as in the Systembuilder channel.
Advantages is the easy licensing, language independent
COAs (stickers) an also the ability to generate an own
recovery media.
