Windows XP Pro & Windows 2000 Pro

Chris Z.

Hi all,

I have a Windows 2000 Professional system that I want to
uninstall & install Windows XP Pro in its place. However,
when I try to delete the Windows 2000 partition in the XP
setup, I receive the following error: "Setup is unable to
perform the requested operation on the selected
partition. This partition contains temporary setup files
that are required to complete the installation." If there
is any help that you can give me, I would really
appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Sincerely,
Chris Z.

Just boot from the Windows XP CD ROM and you will be bale to remove
partitions etc IF you are doing a clean install.
