windows XP pro outlook express spell check....

is stuck in French. i have no other option in the drop down to choose from.
i have Microsoft Office home/student 2007 installed. i need to get English
for my spell check in Outlook Express. any help or suggestions?

You have two choices - either install the English proofing tools from an
earlier version of Office, or if you don't HAVE an earlier version of
Office, install a third-party OE spellcheck program. There are several
available - do a Google.

i have Office '97 around here somewhere. is that too old to work w/ XP?

if i get one from a G.search how can i choose and feel safe it's ok to
install from a 3rd party? any recommendations?
