I am running a Windows 2003 Domain w/Active Directory.
All client machines are running Windows XP Pro SP2.
I am using GPO to set a logon script.
The logon script maps drives wether the client has access to them or
not.
Multiple users on the domain cannot open documents by clicking on the
files in My Documents or the desktop. When they attempt to open the
file, the application (Word, Excel etc) takes about three-five minutes
to open. Sometimes it will open the file, sometimes just the
application.
I have attempted to uninstall Office and reinstall it. I have
attempted to remove the clients domain account from the machine, delete
all files and folders (backing up documents) and this will help for
about a day. It seems to re-occur after they log back on to the domain
the second or third time.
This is spreading across my network and it is pounding me. I cannot
figure this out.
Someone, please help.
