windows xp pro networking problem

Hello,

I have a simple home network (3 pcs + 1 notebook). All running Win XP
SP2 Pro.
When i try to browse the workgroup I get the error " The list of servers
for this workgroup is currently not available"

Doing Net View in command window gives me system error 6118.
When i do a search for computers it is possible to find some of them.
One computer does not show up. Individually i can connect to a shared
resource on a computer but not via network places

I can ping all computers without problems.
I use wireless networking.

What could be wrong with mu setup?
I have done some googling but what came up did not help me.

Thanks

See if Zone Alarm is running on any of the machines. If yes, try turning it off.
If that works, change ZA's "Internet Zone Security" to Medium.

Thanks Unk,
I do not have zone alarm, i have Norton. On all machines, the rules are
that all traffic is allowed within internal network.

Hello,
I can add that if i manually edit c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
file and put an entry to the computer manually i.e., ipaddress and
corresponding name then ping and net view by computer name works OK.
When there is not such an entry for this particular computer net view
and ping by name fails
On other computers these commands work without their names/addresses
being put into hosts file.
Thanks
