windows XP, office 95,spell check fails with outlookexpress

My spell check works in microsoft word, but fails when I use it in Outlook
express.
I get the error message :"an error occurred while the spelling was being
checked"

I have an old Office 95 virsion and I am running on windows XP

Try posting this in an Outlook Express news group - this is not one of them.
Outlook is a part of Microsoft Office and is what this group supports.
Outlook Express is a part of Internet Explorer and has its own news groups.
