You need to install a Windows Server and purchase the appropriate number of
CALs (Client Access Licence).

The maximum number of concurrent connections is 10 for Windows XP
Professional and 5 for Windows XP Home. There is no limit for Windows
Server, provided that you have purchased the appropriate number of CALs.

Why are they connecting? If a simple file server, Win98 on that machine will
fill the bill.

By design, the optimum size of a workgroup is 10 to 12 machines.
Beyond that number, network performance starts degrading noticeably and
the administrative head-aches start growing exponentially. Further,
WinXP Pro, like WinNT and Win2K, is a workstation OS and will allow a
maximum of 10 simultaneous connections.

If you need more connections, use a Server operating system.

As long as *NO* security is required or expected, that is....
