Hello!

At work we have domain controlled LAN.

Windows 9x/ME computers log into domain but are also ordered into workgroups by departments.
But if i want Windows XP computer to join a domain i loose the workgroup.
My question is:
Is it possible with WinXP to login into a domain and also keep Workgroup.

Thank you for your reply

But how come it is possible in windows 9x to join a domain and also be listed it one workgroup?

Let's say my company has domain on Windows NT 4.0 server called "domain1
Then we have Workgroups by departments: "construction", "technology", "sale", "production

Is it possible with Windows XP to log into domain1 on server and be listed under "production
With Windows 9x/ME this is possible

Thank you for your help

You can connect to any machine, workgroup or domain as
long as local passwords and shares are synced. Depends on
what rights you have.
