Windows XP installation Disk

Hi, Im having problems with booting up windows again, Accept this time it
doesnt load at all, safe mode, and last known good configuration wont work
either, I try using the Acer Factory Restore disk, but no luck. It still
freezes. So Im wondering if there is anyway of getting a Windows XP MCE
Installation disk, so i can re-install my windows XP. When i bought my Acer,
it didnt came with one. The only Windows Xp installation disk i have is for
my old computer, but that one is a MDG computer, and its a System Restore
disk. Im not sure weather that will work or not.

I dont want to buy it here in Malaysia because most of the Software sold in
the area I live in are fake.

Also, is there anyway of knowing that my Hardware is damage?

Thanks in advance.

Don't buy locally, buy via the internet and have it shipped.

You are not specific about where it freezes. When you boot the Acer
restore, do you get any functional startup screens? If so then at
least the MB works. If you start the restore and it freezes then
possibly the drive is the issue.

And a restore cd is good only for the PC (or type) it was intended since
vendors kinda have the habit of putting their own tweaks in the
software, especially drivers, as they well should.

To test the system, you can download something like a trial version of
Acronis True Image backup. It allows you to build a boot CD, which you
really should have for restore. Of course all this done on another PC.
But the boot cd will test your PC a bit. And there could
possibly be other downloads that you might find in google that can do
the same thing.
For pure diagnostic purposes, borrow a buddies XP cd or even win98 and
install it. It would at least prove the system.

Reseat the video card (if there is one) and memory cards, check all
connectors, then try again. If it does not start you need a technician to
check it.

Well, It freezes when it says "wndows XP is loading" Then it just sits there
forever, and same goes with Safe mode. And Ill Also Give your solution a go
and see if it works. Thanks for the help :)

Yes Im guessing its a problem with the drivers, so im going to look for a
technician tomorow to have a look. Probably gonna cost some money, but its
better then not being able to work, and study. Thanks for the help :)
