Windows XP Home Will NOT Activate

Help. I upgraded to SP2 on my computer about 2 weeks ago (Running XP Home).
5 days ago I get the "Activate windows" in 7 days or else window. I
activated windows over the internet, but on the next boot it said "activate
windows"....you have six days. After two or three times of doing this, I
called Microsoft to activate over the phone. Activation was successful, but
on the very next boot I received the activate window again. I have 2 days
left until the computer shuts me out. I have tried the recommendations of
running regsvr32 [regwizc.dll / licdll.dll], and the results are "successful"
but windows will still not activate.

Am I looking at a complete reinstall of Windows XP here....with all of the
updates to download again.........Help! I have Dial-up.
Note: I have SpyBot and Norton AV 2003 running on the Comp.

Reboot to Safe Mode:
Reboot tapping F8 each second.
Select Safe Mode at the menu

Start/Run
Type "regsvr32.exe regwizc.dll" ENTER
Type "regsvr32.exe licdll.dll" ENTER

Reboot.

Tried that, and the script replies successful.....but still No Luck. It
still asks me to activate on normal boot after I run the rgsvr32 commands
below??? Any other suggestions?
