Windows XP Home upgrade XP Pro

I am having a huge problem trying to get XP Home to
upgrade to XP Pro. This is on a Toshiba Satellite Laptop
that can preinstalled with XP Home SP1. I have XP
Professional from school to install. The install starts
and once it reboots it seems like the system is going to
install and then the screen goes blank and hangs. Is
this a problem with the Home being SP1 and to fix this do
I need to get Windows XP Pro SP1.

Microsoft does not support upgrading XP Home w/SP1
using XP Pro Upgrade w/o SP1.

Create A Bootable Windows XP Installation CD Slipstreamed with SP1
