I have been frustrated trying to diagnose an issue that started with the
Sept. security updates. I apologize if this has already been asked, but could
not find a thread dealing with this specific issue.
1) Windows will start normally with a fresh system start. I.E., if I turn
off the computer or do a manual restart, I can log into the user accounts as
expected (1 admin, 1 limited user)
2) If you log out of either account and leave the system for an exteneded
period of time (perhaps and hour or more) on standby, logging back into
either account hangs and Explorer fails to start. At this point the only
thing that can be done is to invoke the task manager to force a restart which
starts the cycle anew.
Can someone please point me in the right direction to resolve this as having
to forceably restart the system after each standby is getting past annoying.
Thanks in advance for your help.
