Windows XP Home Edition Administrator

Hello Everyone

I have a Windows XP Home Edition system. The user Administrator does not show up on the XP signon screen. An
when I use the use the Classic Logon Prompt to attempt to signon as Adminstrator I get
'Unable to log you on because of an account restriction'

I am unable to determine what the account restriction is because I can not get to anything that will show me what is restricted

I can not create Administrator as it already exists.

I should add that this was given to me and I am going to upgrade to WIN/XP Professional but I would like to understand why I am getting this message and how to correct it

Thank you

Hello Carey

Thank you for the information. Now just a question about why, Why? And, where in the documentation is this described
I have restarted and logoned on as Administrator in safe mode. I do see under User accounts where "The Administrator account is only visible on the Welcome Screen when no other user account exist (except the quest account), or when you start your computer in Safe Mode." I do believe that it would be scary to have to delete all accounts just to see the Adminstrator on Win/XP.

Anyway, Thank you for the information. You are great

I just came across this. It may have been on the
Symantec website. It said to get to the Main Screen
where you sign in and Press Control-Alt-Delete two
times. I did it and a window popped up, but I did not
have an password for "Administrator". I am not sure
where that comes from.
