Is the computer logging you out at intervals for no apparent reason?
If so, then check under Control Panel > Power and remove the tick from
"require a password when resuming from standby" -or similar wording. This is
the usual cause. It might also be a password-protected screensaver that's
causing it, but less likely.
I have the Power Options set to turn off the monitor and hard drives after
20 minutes of inactivity and to go to standby "Never." It's not actually
logging me out. It maintains my personal settings and all, it just goes to
the logon screen after 10 minutes of inactivity. As soon as I choose my
account (there are 2 users on this machine) it goes right to whatever I was
last doing. The session is still active (it continues playing music, or
defragging the hard drive, or whatever else I was doing), it just makes me
choose my account from the logon screen. Thanks.
