Windows XP Firewall ~ can't find it

I am reading that Microsoft XP(home)comes with a built in Firewall and how to
turn it on, ie., Start, Control Panel, Windows Security Center. It also said
if SP2 was installed, it would turn the firewall on by default. I have not
run SP2 and do not wish to at this time. But I can not find anything on my
computer that says Windows Security Center, Internet Connection Firewall,
ICF, etc. Am I understanding this wrong and if not, how do I find it?? Do I
have to run SP2 first before I can get the firewall??

Windows Security Center is part of SP2.. to find the firewall, go to your
internet connection properties, click on the 'advanced' tab, and check the
box to enable the firewall..

The Security Center is a feature of SP2. To enable the firewall on an older
version of XP, double click on the network connection's properties/advanced.
