While executing the "ipconfig/all" command in a DOS window in Windows XP, I
receive the error: An internal error occurred: A device attached to the
system is not functioning. Please contact Microsoft Product Support Services
for further help. Additional informaton: Unknown media status code."

Any clues, ideas or hints as to how to resolve this problem would be
appreciated.
Thanks in advance for any help.

The correct command is: ipconfig /all
Note the space between "ipconfig" and "/".

What network devices do you have? Are you able to get to the Internet?
Look in Device Manager (System applet>Hardware). Are there any yellow
exclamation or red warning marks next to network devices?
