Windows XP doesn't load up

Hello,
I've had a horror couple of days with my machine so I'll
start from scratch.
I started my computer on Thursday night and Windows
wouldn't load - the c:\windows\system32\drivers\pci.sys
file was corrupted or missing.
I therefore copied expanded pci.sy from the Windows XP CD
and that problem was eradicated.

After restarting my computer it began to load and before
coming up to the login screen it resets itself - therefore
continuously rebooting and not loading up Windows XP.

Can anybody help?

solution ;( do you by any chance receive an error message
of sorts before the restart?

Hi,

I don't receive any kind of error message before the
restart.

What I did was re-install Windows XP and now it works
fine - but I can no longer access my old "My Documents"
file.

If anyone can help me activate my old "My Documents"
folder I'd be most appreciative.
