windows xp direct x problem

hi
if anybody could gimme a hand with this problem id be
really grateful. the problem is when i try to install the
newest version of direct x (9.0) i get a message that says
"the software you are installing has not passed windows
logo testing to verify its compatibility with windows XP
the software will not be installed contact system
admistrator." what can i do to override the program that
is stoping me from downloading direct x to my computer?

Please read the article located at

You need to set your File signature verification from Ignore to Warn.
