Windows wont work on Toshiba LCD HDTV

O

Olivier

Hi,

I don't know if this is the best place for my problem but
here:

I have Windows XP Home SP1 with ATI All-in-Wonder 9000
Pro. I recently bought a LCD HDTV Toshiba 32HL83. I
bought a DVI cable to plug from TV to AIW. Windows does
seems to detect the TV.

The weird part is when I boot I can see the boot sequence
which seems to be digital. (I can enter the BIOS and the
image is crystal clear). I also see the Win XP logo but
not the welcome page. After that everything turns black.
Any ideas?

You have to load the drivers for the digital monitor first. I had a similar
proble installing XP Pro.

Connect the monitor to the analog connector on the video card and start the
system. Windows should now start.

Install the XP drivers, both analog and digital, from the CD you should have
received with the monitor.

Shutdown and switch the monitor cable from the analog to the digital output
of the video card.

Restart and Windows should now load the correct monitor drivers.
