Windows won't recognize my USB 2.0 card!

I have a USB 2.0 PCI card installed, i've installed the drivers, and the
"enhanced" controllers are present in Device manager, showing no errors.
Regular USB devices work just fine...mouse, printer, palm, etc. However,
when i plug in my USB 2.0 thumbdrive or Digital Camera, Windows displays the
"This USB 2.0 device could run faster on a USB 2.0 port..." , even though it
IS plugged into a USB 2.0 port. Windows never recognizes the devices as a
drive, nor does it display them in "My Computer". So basically, these
devices that i paid alot of money for, are useless to my PC. HELP!

Anyone else experienced this? I've made sure i have the latest BIOS for my
motherboard. The bios doesn't have any settings for 1.0/2.0 under USB. I've
tried uninstalling ALL of the USB drivers and re-installing just the 2.0
drivers, this didn't work either.

Normally XP does not require that the user load any drivers for a USB PCI
card.

And, few manufacturers provide them, since XP does not need them.

Thus, check to see whether you might have installed win98/ME drivers, or
even maybe win2000 drivers.

Try uninstalling all drivers for USB, turn off PC, remove USB card, turn on
PC and boot into XP to verify USB is gone, turn off PC, install USB card,
turn on PC and let it load XP default drivers. If it casn not find drivers
within the part of XP on your hard drive, try the XP CDROM.
