Windows vista ultimate

Bought the above new and loaded without issue onto my HD. Ran disk defrag
and left it to run. Came back some time later with the screen saying it had
a read error. No matter what I try it won't re boot from HD or DVD. I have
now loaded Vista onto a new HD, no problem, however it now won't let me
activate the product as it says the code is already being used and I need to
buy a new one....not going to happen. How can I re install and activate the
legitmate copy of Vista onto a new drive without having to pay out
unneccesarily for another code? Any help more than welcome

with no problems. I had to reactivate after changing the motherboard out.

I found out that you can only run one version of Vista on ONE computer. One
Product Code for one Computer. If you purchase the Vista Ultimate and ONLY
Visa Ultimate, you are eligible for what they call the "Family Discount Plan"
for an additional $50.00 for another product code, but I believe that only
lets you purchase the Vista Home Premium!!! What a Nightmare!! I found all
this out the hard way!! Like Mr Gates needs more money!!! UGGH!! I have a
phone number if you want it....e-mail me at (e-mail address removed) and I will
send it to you. Its the number for the people at the Family Discount Center.

Use the telephone activation system and explain what happened, there should
be no problem with re-activating your copy of Vista on the new hardware.
