Windows Vista Premium forgets settings

Hello all,
Has anybody experienced this?

I got a new HP Pavilion tx1120us Tablet PC with Windows Vista Premium.
Every time you turn it on, the Welcome Center and the HP Total Care
windows pop up. I clear the respective boxes so I don't have to see
them again, but every time I reboot, the screens come up.

The same happens with certain software, like Zinio Reader (it opens
the first digital magazine I used, regardless of the last one I was
reading)

Any ideas / suggestions will be more than welcome!!

I suspect the Welcome Center Window opening each time may be tied to HP
Total Care. I'd contact HP tech support for help with that. It's possible
that once they are able to turn that off you will be able to successfully
turn off the Welcome Center.

As to the Zinio reader, have you checked their website to make sure you have
the latest version and whether or not it is Vista compatible. If it is
Vista compatible, you'd need to contact Zinio tech support for help with
this issue.
