Everytime I download Windows Vista RC1 regardless of which download manager I
use the ISO file is always corrupt and when burnt to disc the DVD believes it
is still blank and trying to open the ISO on my computer shows me it is blank
so I need help to correct this any ideas?

Are you sure you are burning the image to the DVD?
because if you just copy the ISO file to disk it won't work

Yes I am burning it correctly I have done loads of ISO's before the problem
is that the ISO has absolutley no data inside of it to burn to DVD and thats
why the DVD's believe they are blank after being burnt.

James,
I was had difficulty downloading the ISO as well on my primary pc (vista
o/s). I eventually used my laptop (xp o/s) and downloaded the ISO to an USB
external HD. Using Daemon ISO software, I was able to install succesfully
directly from the USB HD on to my primary pc without burning a DVD.

I have used both my computer and laptop and have used 2 of my usb external
hardrives to download to and I am still getting the problem (lol sorry I must
be a pain)

That is not the correct completed ISO size.
The Vista site says 64bit is 4Gig, 32 bit is 3.2Gig

You are not getting the complete file even though when you check properties
it will show 2.52gb. I continue to experience the same issue. Even my hard
drive shows 2.52gb less space when freedownloadmanager attempts to download
the file.

I have had three Winxp machines attempting to download the file 24 hours a
day since I received the email Monday evening. One machine is running
freedownloadmanager, the other Net Transport and the third Amkamai and none
of the machines has been able to successfully logon and download.

Are you using Nero 7.2.7 by any chance? I had the same problem burning the
iso until I changed back to Nero 7.2.3. You thought you were burning the
image, but when you tried to access the disk afterwards it was blank.

Sounds like the problem is the file system for your hard drive. FAT16 files
are limited to 2GB. The RC1 file is bigger. You have to download the RC1
file to a FAT32 or NTFS disk.

I have over 600GB of storage space and its all NTFS or FAT32 so that isnt the
problem either sorry

Hey guys!! I just patiently waited for RC1 to download using my laptop that I
have Vista Beta 2 build 5384 on. I used the download manager and it went all
the way to "FINISHED" after that I could not find the file what-so-ever! i
restarted a few times and NADA! I went back to try and re-download and it
wouldn't allow me, stating that I had already downloaded and the product key
was good for 10 installs. SO! i created a new hotmail account and attempted
again! when I got to download manager, I could see the .iso file in the Save
As window, but if I went through MyComputer into User>Drew>Documents (where
the file existed) it is not there!! however, if I tried to save the file, it
prompted me that the filed exists and if i wanted to replace it. it is
showing it to be 2.52 GB. SO NOW, supposedly the file exists if i want to
re-save it, but I can't view it if I want to burn it, so now i'm attempting
AGAIN! *pHUCK U MICROSOFT!!!* to download it on my PC which has XP on it,
let's see how things turn out! Keep me posted, and i'll keep y'all posted!
hell no i don't want to pay another $10 and order the DVD!! I'm already
pissed off AIM won't install on Beta 2! (e-mail address removed) 'm
gONE!
