Windows Updates - "System32\NvCpl.dll" corruption

B

Bob Hobley

Yesterday morning my system was working fine. I loaded a
new USB 2.0 PCI card and was prompted to access the
Windows downloads site to download the SP1 update. I did
this and whilst at it downloaded all the other critical
updates.
Since then I've been having nothing but trouble,
especially with the display functionality. This morning
when logging in, the display looked as if I'd logged in
via "Safe mode" (I hadn't) and I got the message
"Error loading C:\Windows\System32\NvCpl.dll" - A dynamic
library (DLL) initialisation routine failed"
My system will not allow me to change any of the display
properties via the Control Panel. How can I fix it?

Hi! Bob!
This is a problem of the Nvidia display driver. You have
to update the display driver.Otherwise you may download
this dll file from:-
http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?nvcpl
