Windows Update persistently tells me there is an update but then it cannot
install it and gives the following message
The following updates were not installed
Security Update for Microsoft XML Core Services 6.0 and Microsoft XML Core
Services 6.0 Service Pack 1 (KB933579)

Any ideas please?

Download and install that update from this site:
