Windows Update

I downloaded the requested Windows Update, but Windows will not install
it."Updates were unable to be successfully installed." KB905474.
No explanation as to why. Trying to find info just runs me in circles.
I have Win XP Home, SP 2.
Please advise.

Cannot install it any more. I AM NOW GETTING AN ERROR STATING THAT "WgaNotify
Setup ... The handle is invalid. WgaNotify installation did not complete.
Windows XP has been partially updated and may not work properly." It used to
install just fine and nothing drastic has changed (that I am aware of). I
tried to run the recomended file manually, but the results are the same.
Additionally, things are starting to work improperly even though virus and
security scans keep telling me everything is ok. Please help

I tried to install some of these, but the Windows Installer won't let me
install them.
