Windows Update

Windows update; I have seven critical updates that are
the same. Every time I download this update it says it is
successful and I reboot. A week later I will
check "Windows Update" and the same critical update is
back for downloading.

Update Rollup 1 for Microsoft Windows XP (KB826939)
 
The hotfix setup program probably did not write to the
registry correctly, or was unable to replace certain files.
 
So what is the fix for this?
