Windows Update VS WD(bug)

I find such bug. If you use Auto Updata you can detect when new Spyware
signatures is available & WD can download this update. If you disable Auto
Updata WD can find & download the update. But If you HIDE THE UPDATE WD
CANN`T FIND THE UPDATE. I think you must use another service for WD Spyware
signatures.

Windows Defender updates via AutoUpdate.

I'm not surprised that hiding the update in Windows Update prevents Windows
Defender from finding the update.

What circumstances do you see that this could be an issue?

I'm also uncertain whether hiding the update at one point in time prevents
Windows Defender from seeing any future updates--even though they share the
same KB number.

Perhaps this is the same issue:

I have WU notify me of updates, but not automatically download them [I do
NOT trust MS since the authentic verifications updates were listed as
'critical' updates]. Recently, if the yellow notification shield with the
exclamation point is there in the tray telling me there is an WD update to
download, if I go to WU, it cannot find the update. [I go through WU
because clicking on the yellow shield often works very slowly, and sometimes
not at all]. I have to cancel the yellow shield message, and then go to WU
quickly before the shield reappears. THEN WU can find the update.

I test this issue only for one updatefor WD & don`t test for next update. But
i will do this.
