Windows update uninstall files

I have got megs and megs of windows update uninstall
files, located in the Window folder.
Each time I have an update a new folder appears.
Folder name something like $NtUninstall534778$
Does any one know If I am able to deleate these files.
The file named above also has a folder named spunist
In this folder it has an app to uninstall the last update.
I have 41 ntuninstall files all in all they are taking up
about 3 GIG of space.

It would be appreciated if someone can help.

Hi

Those folders 'can' be deleted if you are sure that you will not have any
reason to uninstall the appropriate Hotfix. Once those folders are deleted
the Hotfixes can't be uninstalled via Add/Remove Programs.

Is it worth making a backup of the files on CD Rom?
If i'm not sure if I need the file.
