Windows Update Problems

Apologies if I'm posting this on the incorrect newsgroup
but I can't see an appropriate one on which to post this
query.

Despite never having problems with obtaining windows
updates I'm now unable to receive them.

After the 'searching for updates' screen I get

'Windows Update has encountered an error and cannot
display the requested page. You may find the following
resources helpful in resolving the problem...Error number:
0x80072EE2'

I've followed the troubleshooter advice for this
particular error message without success.

The only recent change I've made to our computer is a
switch to broadband.

Any suggestions?

Fyi, microsoft.public.windowsupdate is a better newsgroup for
Windows Update questions.

Also note that when using a Firewall, make sure you are not blocking
Svchost.exe (Generic host process for win32 services).
