Launch Windows Update
If you don't see a link to Windows Update Catalog on the left then click
Personalize Windows Update and check the box to display it - then click save
settings.
Click the Windows Update Catalog link
You will then have options to find updates and drivers. Then select the
ones you want and add them to your download basket.
Go to your download basket and download them to your HD.

IMO, you should not bother with driver updates from Windows Update -- if you really want a new driver, visit the website of the manufacturer of the device. Additionally, you may not want or need all of the non-critical updates, although you're less likely to cause problems by installing these than by installing a new driver.

Go to your download basket and download them to your HD.

That will only provide Critical Updates (and drivers but I would not
myself get drivers from Windows Update - go to the makers site to see if
they have something later that *they* recommend).

But for other updates the only way is to download on one machine: The
downloaded .exe is put in Temporary Internet Files - so clear that first
for convenience; then when it comes to install, first copy the file out
to another folder.

Also note that the cumulative security package, 826939 can be found as a
link 'Download the package now'
at
http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb;en-us;826939
which is more convenient than the 'express' approach via update
