Windows Task Manager Problems

I have a user that is unable to display Windows Task
Manager in order to end a process. In trying to resolve
this problem, I logged on both locally/network and was
able to access Task Manager both ways. Does anyone know
why a particular user would not be able to access this
standard application?

I am having the same problem. It all started when i was on Aol instant messenger. my friend had an away message on and i clicked on it, causing me to get a virus. Now, my task manager wont open, regedit ownt open and msconfig wont open. when on AIM, if not used for about 15 minutes, and away message will come up on my name and give the virus to other people if they click on the hyperlink. any ideas to help?
