Windows Task Manager Problem

After recieving a new dell laptop with xp pro and installing all of the
updates, I noticed that when I select task manager from the windows security
popup It doesn't have the minimize/expand/close window bar at the top. The
only way to close task manager is to hit ALT F4 or right click on the cpu
usage icon in the systray and select close. Does this sound familiar to
anyone?

If sounds as if you have Task Manager running in "Tiny
footprint mode".Double click the border to restore it to its
original appearance.

It's basically a method to resize Task Manager so it takes up
as little space as possible.

In Normal Mode, if you position your mouse pointer at the edges
of the Task Manager window until it turns into a double pointed
arrow you can't make it any smaller than its default size. But
in "tiny footprint" mode you can resize it so it takes up less
space. Let's say you wanted to monitor how much memory and CPU
% a certain process was using but not have Task Manager taking
up so much screen space. In tiny footprint mode, you can
highlight the process, resize Task Manager and hide it in a
corner of your display so it's still visible but out of the
way.
