windows system32 error

when I start mp laptop I get the following
message "windows can not find C:\windows\system32
\de32gen.exe make sure you have typed in the name
correctly and then try again. To search for a file click
start button and then click search" I OK this then
another message comes up with "could not load
C:\windows\system32\de32gen.exe specified in the registry
make sure the file exists in the regestry on your computer
or remove the referance to it in the registry" Can anyone
please help me get rid of this by sending me some step by
step instuction.

de32gen.exe is not a Windows XP file. Right click on the file and select
Properties. You may find sufficient information to identify the file. If you
did not place this on your computer, you should suspect spyware.
