Windows Start menu ALL programmes?

Every time I trying using the start, all programmes, my computor comes up
with an error message and freezes and I have to log off, although it works
fine if I log on as another family user, though I am the computor
administartor, what do I need to do to correct this problem

Hi,
Its starts with "WINDOWS EXPLORER HAS ENCOUNTERED A PROBLEM AND NEEDS TO
CLOSE SEND ERROR Y/N" ETC?

ERROR SIGNATURE
AppName:explorer.exe AppVer6.02900.2180modName shell 32Dll
ModVer 6.02900.3051 Offset00054611
and then Dr watson postmortem kicks in with stating
"DR WATSON POSTMORTEM has encountered a problem and needs to close etc etc,
Any ideas auggestions would be appreciated
