Windows restart due to Remote Procedure Call????

I have a lap top and every time I connect to the net I get a message up which states 'shutdown initialised by NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM' and 'Windows restart because Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service terminated unexpectedly'. What does this mean and how can I fix it?

go to the ms site for a patch and ways/instructions on how to delete this
virus.
