how do I find windows registry files and how do I go about deleting them. the
reson is I down loaded a free trial antivirus program and then I deleted it.
It has a windows startup file that points to registry and also created 5
problems in activex/com that I also need to figure out how to delete them to.

Please don't take this amiss, but if you don't know how to use the
registry you should keep out of it unless you have expert supervision.
What was the name of the "free trial antivirus program"? Was it
something like WinAntivirus or Virus Burst or the like? Because if it
was, then you need to run specialized removal tools.

If you want to try and fix this yourself, post back with the name of the
program you downloaded so we can give you specific removal steps.

Reinstall the application (re-run the installer), & then uninstall it via
Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs. If it's a respectable application
then that should be sufficient.
