Windows program errors and blue screen

I just bought an HP laptop with Vista. The only programs I have installed
are Limewire, Winamp, iTunes, and Trend Antivirus. Then when I use the
computer it keeps popping up with a windows message saying that the program
cannot run properly and must be shutdown. It has done this on Windows
defender, Quickplay, Media player, and search indexer. The blue screen has
also appeared a few times and restarts my computer. I went back and
exchanged the computer for a new one, but it is doing the same thing. I
thought that the programs I downloaded were causing the problem but they are
all compatible with Vista.

What is causeing the problem and how do I fix it?

Hi,

It didn't act like that until you installed the various software bits,
correct? Uninstall the programs, one at a time, until the problems stop.
Whichever was the last to be uninstalled is the problem, despite any claims
of Vista compatibility.
