Windows Product Activation error

After a power failure tonight, i have restarted my pc, logged on and recieved
the following error
"A problem is preventing windows from acuratley checking the licence for
this computer. Error: 0x800703e6"
I have searched Technet for the error code and the text to no avail. I am
running Windows XP with SP1 from the MS Action Pack.

Can any 1 offer me a solution to recover my system with out rebuilding it.
