Windows problem

Since a couple of weeks I receive the message:
This copy of Windows is not genuine
you may be a victim of software counterfeiting. The Windows product key
installed on this computer is not genuine.
How can this happen and what can I do about it exept what they offer me: Buy
a genuine product key online???
I have bought this pc at march 2003, and I have the same Windows version
since the same date.

If you purchased the computer from a store...you need to contact them...
If it was from an individual...your choice is to make it legal by purchasing
the OS...
or else ignore the warnings...
supposedly there is a way to turn the warnings off
