Windows Photo Story 3

I created my story and saved it. The only option I was allowed to save in
was Project Files WP3 and I cannot find the completing photo story 3 page and
cannot play the story with music or any way at all in Windows Media Player
and it is driving me crazy. I can only view it on 'preview' with a small
screen' What am I doing wrong?

You saved the project. You must also save the story.

Restart Photostory and in the first window select "edit a project" and then
point to your wp3 file. Then, keep clicking "next" until you get to the page
that asks: "What do you want to do with your story?". Highlight "Save your
story for playback on your computer". Note where it is saved. Click Next.
That creates a wmv file which you can play.

Dear Steve

Thank you so much - I really appreciate your reply and excellent
information. I did as you said and managed to view my story on windows media
player but lost the music I had added - any ideas? many thanks..

Restart the project and then do the music part over. Then continue on and
save the story and the project.

Steve,

I am also having that same problem... I can view my project in preview but
not in Media player 10. I followed your directions and the first picture
will show up but none of the others do. The music will continue to play as
if there is a pictures running. I can get it to run on Media Player 10 if I
save it on the lowest setting but that makes the photos too grainy. Any
ideas?

I have no ideas I rarely use this stuff. I would try importing the wmv file
into Windows Movie Maker and then see if it will work in that.

First...it may be helpful to do some regular
maintenence...

Running Disk Cleanup, Error Checking and
Defrag on a regular schedule is a good idea.

(check the two boxes..."Automatically fix file

the next time you restart your computer.

Beyond that...I would suspect an issue with a
damaged or outdated video driver.

Try reducing your Graphics Hardware Acceleration
as per the instructions in the following article.

If an improvement in viewing the movie file is
realized...it would be a good idea to search
the support website of your video adapter's mfg
for an updated video driver.
