Windows Photo Gallery update for RAW files goes to wrong webpage

For some reason, when I select the link offered by the Photo Gallery program
to get the update to view RAW files, my IE opens and goes to a webpage from
Canon (in which it asks for confirmation of location prior to sending you to
their Vista support page). I assume this is not where I'm supposed to get
the update for the Windows Photo Gallery software. This is the URL the
program directs me to:
http://pdisp01.c-wss.com/vista/redirect?pr=ic-cc&id=rawcodec Anybody know
why this is happening, and what the correct URL is for the update?

The camera manufacturers write the Codecs that support the RAW format. This
is similar to a company that writes cedecs to support certain video and
audio files. Without these codecs, software designed to use that format
cannot work with those files.

It's likely that you have a Canon camera/printer and there is an update
available for their drivers/software.

OK - but what's confusing is that the Microsoft program (Windows Photo
Gallery) prompted me to download an update. It was through that program's
link that I was sent to Canon's website. I expected to go to a Microsoft
site for an update to their own program. I'll separately check out the MS
site to see if there's an update available for download...
