Windows PE and MSI Installer

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has ever had experience setting up a windows
PE environment so that it could use an MSI installer? I have an
application that is packaged in an MSI file and I would like to run it.

Wouldn't the MSI try to install into Windows PE instead of the actual OS on
the hard drive?

Oh, that's the idea. I am hoping to prep the Windows PE environment to
run some diagnostic tools. These diagnostic tools are packaged in an
MSI. I would then like to run these diagnostic tools on the original OS
