Windows OneCare and Anti-Spyware?

Steve T.

With the announcement that MS will soon sell and distribute an all-in-one
security package, Windows OneCare, which will include anti-spyware filtering
and removal, will the product currently in Beta 1 continue to be made freely
available? If so, is there a time frame for the release of Beta 2 or
perhaps even a finished product?

I've been using the Beta for a couple of months, now, on W2K, XP Pro, and
2K3 machines and have found it to be a great performer!

Thanks!

You'll know when the rest of us do!

'looks like Microsoft Antispyware will be on piece of OneCare--but I don't
think this means the end of this beta, nor do I think we'll have to
subscribe to OneCare to get the benefits of this beta product.

Yes, Microsoft AntiSPyware will still be made available for free to all
licensed Windows users when it is finalized. OneCare on other hand is
combination of AntiVirus, System Monitoring and paid Help & Support.
