I am running WinXP Pro (Service Pack 2 installed). In the Windows
Notification Area I am unable to change the behaviour of any of the icons;
e.g.: an icon showing "Hide When Inactive" will only allow that as does
"Always Hide" or "Always Show". Any ideas as to what the problem is? Also,
clicking on "Restore Defaults" does nothing at all.
What I am saying is that there is no choice. Whatever an icon is displaying
(Hide When Inactive, Always Show, Always Hide) is what you have. I right
click on the task bar, left click properties, left click customize, click on
any icon, click on the carat and the only choice available is the one on
display.
