Windows Movie Maker

My computer freezes everytime I try to capture video with
Windows Movie Maker. I can't even use cntrl+alt+del to
get out of it.

I also have a video capture card installed and I'm
wondering if there is a conflict.

I have Windows XP Professional with sound by Conexant.

Can anyone help?
